2. Log files when visiting the website

When you open this website, your browser automatically sends data to the website server. Some of this data is relevant under data protection law and is stored in a log file for a limited period of time. The log files are technically necessary so that the website can be displayed to you. Further storage of the log files, which goes beyond your visit to the website, takes place to ensure the functionality of the website and the security of the information technology systems. The following data is collected in the log files:

  • Date and time of access
  • IP address used to access the website
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Success or failure of the page request
  • Browser and operating system used
  • Amount of data transferred
  • Website from which the visitor comes (referrer URL)

As you can see from the list, the IP address of the computer you are using is recorded when you use the website. Under certain circumstances, it may be possible to identify users via the IP address. However, the recorded IP addresses are not analyzed for this purpose, unless this is necessary for the purposes of criminal prosecution.

On what legal basis is this data processed and how long is it stored?
The data is processed on the basis of legitimate interest. The log files are stored for 90 days after accessing the website, after which the data is automatically deleted.

Are there other recipients of the data in addition to the controller?
Both the hoster and the web designer have access to the log files. In both cases, this access takes place as part of order processing.

3. Cookies

Your browser stores cookies on your computer when you open this website. Some of these cookies are necessary to enable the website to be displayed correctly, while other cookies are used to improve the quality of service when you visit the website. When you access the website, the cookie banner gives you the option of selecting whether or not you agree to the use of technically unnecessary cookies. An overview of which cookies are involved can be found in the cookie banner under “Services”.
Essential cookies, which are technically absolutely necessary to ensure the comprehensive use of the website, cannot be deactivated via the cookie banner. These cookies are so-called session cookies, which store a session ID. The session ID can be used to recognize your computer when you return to the website at a later time.
Persistent cookies are used in connection with the analysis and tracking services we use. These are long-term cookies that remain on your computer. Persistent cookies store information between two visits to the website. This information is used to recognize you as a returning visitor on your next visit. As mentioned above, you can reject these cookies as they are not technically necessary.
Third-party cookies, which originate from servers other than those of this website, may also be set when you use our website. As mentioned above, you can also reject these cookies, as they are not absolutely necessary for technical reasons.
Your browser allows you to ensure transparency. You can configure your browser settings according to your wishes and, for example, control the acceptance or rejection of third party cookies or all cookies. However, we would like to point out that you may then not be able to use all functions of all websites.

On what legal basis is this data processed and how long is it stored?
In the case of session cookies, the data is processed on the basis of legitimate interest. Your consent is required for the use of persistent cookies and third-party cookies, which we obtain via the cookie banner when you open the website. Session cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser. No information remains on your hard disk. Persistent cookies and third-party cookies are generally stored for 12 months, after which the data is automatically deleted. Alternatively, you can delete these cookies manually at any time using your browser.

Are there other recipients of the data in addition to the controller?
The respective service providers have access to the information resulting from the cookies used for tracking and analyzing website visits. Corresponding data processing agreements have been concluded with these providers for the processing of personal data. The third-party cookies and the data collected through them are the responsibility of the providers; we have no influence on what happens to the data collected through them and who gains access to it.

4. Google Tag Manager

We use Google Tag Manager to manage tools and scripts on our website. The Tag Manager makes it easier for us to administer tracking and analysis tools; triggers are created with which we determine which requirements must be met for a so-called tag to be played. The tool itself is a cookie-free domain and does not collect any personal data. If consent for the use of tracking and analysis tools was not given when the website was accessed via the cookie banner, the Tag Manager has no influence on this and the deactivation remains in place.

On what legal basis is this data processed and how long is it stored?
As the Google Tag Manager itself does not process any personal data, there is no legal basis under data protection law for its use. For this reason, it is also active directly when the website is accessed and not only after consent has been given via the cookie banner.

Are there other recipients of the data in addition to the controller?
As the provider, Google may have access to the Tag Manager, but since no personal data is processed via this application, this is not relevant under data protection law.

5. Google Analytics

We have installed the analysis service Google Analytics for the customer-oriented optimization of our website. Google Analytics sets persistent, i.e. long-term cookies in your browser, which enable us to study your use of the website. Google Analytics creates reports for us on all website activities and enables us to evaluate them.
We have activated the IP anonymization function, which takes effect if your IP address originates from the EU/EEA. According to the provider, IP anonymization ensures that your IP address is anonymized before it is transmitted to and stored by Google, so that it is no longer possible to draw conclusions about your person.

On what legal basis is this data processed and how long is it stored?
Your data, which is generated via the analysis cookies, is processed on the basis of your consent, which you can give us voluntarily via the cookie banner when you visit our website. If you do not consent to the analysis in the cookie banner, your website visit will not be recorded by the analysis tool. According to the provider, the data recorded by the provider is stored for a maximum of 13 months and deleted every month once the retention period has expired.

Are there other recipients of the data in addition to the controller?
Data processing is carried out by Google LLC, based in California/USA. You can find more information on data protection at Google under the following link - Privacy policy

6. Google Ads Conversion-Tracking

We place paid advertisements for us on Google. In order to understand how effective these ads are, we use Google Ads conversion tracking on our website. If you as a user click on an advertisement placed via Google and reach our website via it, a persistent cookie is set which enables us to track how many users were directed to us via the advertisement and to which subpage. As long as the cookie is active, we can also determine if you visit our website again at a later time. As part of conversion tracking, we do not receive any IP addresses or other information from Google that would enable us to establish a personal reference. However, it can be assumed that Google processes your IP address in order to compile conversion statistics for us.

On what legal basis is this data processed and how long is it stored?
Your data, which is generated via the tracking cookie, is processed on the basis of your consent, which you can give us voluntarily via the cookie banner when you visit our website. If you do not consent to tracking in the cookie banner, your website visit will not be recorded by the analysis tool. The tracking cookie collects information for a period of 30 days. According to the provider, the data recorded by the provider is stored for a maximum of 13 months and deleted monthly when the retention period is reached.

7. LinkedIn Analytics & Ads (Insight Tag)

To gain a better insight into our target group, increase the attractiveness of our offer and measure the effectiveness of our advertisements, we use the LinkedIn Insight Tag. This is a JavaScript code that we have integrated into our website and that sets a tracking cookie in your browser. The provider LinkedIn anonymizes the data collected from you via the cookie within 7 days and we do not receive any direct insight into personal data, but only receive compressed reports.

On what legal basis is this data processed and how long is it stored?
Your data, which is generated via the tracking cookie, is processed on the basis of your consent, which you can give us voluntarily via the cookie banner when you visit our website. According to the provider, the data recorded by the provider is stored for a maximum of 90 days and deleted when the retention period is reached.

Are there other recipients of the data in addition to the controller?

8. Google Maps

We have implemented maps from Google Maps on our website. This enables us to present our locations to you on interactive maps and provide you with directions. The extended data protection mode is used, which initiates the transmission and storage of user information by Google only when you “click” on the map. Google uses so-called third-party cookies to collect information about user behavior; in addition, address data entered for this purpose during route planning is processed by Google. Unfortunately, it is not clear to us for what purposes Google processes the data collected from you.

On what legal basis is this data processed and how long is it stored?
Your data generated via the third-party cookies is processed on the basis of your consent, which you can give us voluntarily via the cookie banner when you visit our website. If you do not consent to the use of Google Maps in the cookie banner, the content will be automatically blocked for the time being. You only consent to the use of Google Maps when you activate the playback function. According to the provider, the data recorded by the provider is stored for a maximum of 13 months and deleted monthly when the retention period is reached.

Are there other recipients of the data in addition to the controller?
As described above, these are third-party cookies over whose processing we have no influence. Data processing is carried out by Google LLC, based in California/USA. You can find more information on data protection at Google under the following link - Privacy policy

9. Youtube

We use YouTube's “embedding function” on our website to enable the playback of videos stored by the provider. The extended data protection mode is used, which initiates the transmission and storage of user information on YouTube only when the videos are played. If the playback of such a video is started, YouTube sets so-called third-party cookies to collect information about user behavior. We have no influence whatsoever on data processing in the course of third-party cookies. According to the provider, the data collected in this way is used, among other things, to record video statistics, improve user-friendliness and prevent abusive behavior.

On what legal basis is this data processed and how long is it stored?
Your data generated via the third-party cookies is processed on the basis of your consent, which you can give us voluntarily via the cookie banner when you visit our website.
