The Josef Fiege Stiftung was founded in 1998 by Heinz and Dr. Hugo Fiege. It bears the name of their father, who died at an early age. The former owners of FIEGE have in the meantime passed the family business to the fifth generation. The foundation primarily holds a consulting capacity for the group and merges all corporate social responsibility activities.
Our organisation.
The Josef Fiege Stiftung is an independent foundation governed by private law. The regional administration of Münster is the foundation’s supervisory authority, while the supreme supervisory authority rests with the Interior Ministry of the Land of North Rhine-Westphalia. The executive bodies of the foundation include the family council and the executive committee.
The family council is represented by the founders, Heinz and Dr. Hugo Fiege and their respective spouses, Ursula and Elisabeth Fiege. Martina Schlottbom (Head of People & Culture Last Mile / Digital Services), Frank Sievers (Director Accounting & Tax), Christoph Mangelmans (Managing Director Consumer Products / Digital Services) and Kai Alfermann (Managing Director Real Estate) have been appointed to the executive committee. Together, both governing bodies carefully select projects that meet the foundation’s support criteria.

The primary goal of the Josef Fiege Stiftung is to permanently improve the situation of man and nature. With this in mind, it expresses recommendations on the awarding of funds to facilities and projects that are committed to society’s well-being. Alongside its advisory activities, the foundation is also responsible for supervising and managing donations. Beyond this, it independently establishes any need for donations and organises events of an ecological or social nature.
The decision-makers at the Josef Fiege Stiftung prioritise a regional focus and relevance to the company when it comes to selecting projects. Particular support is given to projects and initiatives born out of the personal commitment of employees. Our donations reach a broad range of beneficiary institutions from such fields as medicine, education, sports, nature, art and culture.
