FIEGE staged an Innovation Day at its branch in Marklkofen in collaboration with its client, MANN+HUMMEL. Next to an exciting look at everything from digitalisation and automation to Lean Management, participants were able to experience one of FIEGE’s new electric trucks live on location.

Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) is a crucial factor in upholding competitiveness. FIEGE recently trialled a new tool together with a long-time client. The aim of the so-called bootcamp: to expand knowledge, to strengthen the team spirit, and to optimise outbound operations.

FIEGE is expanding its location in Bülach, Switzerland. In the immediate vicinity of Zurich Airport, a new logistics centre offering 17,000 square metres of additional storage space is being built. The building is expected to be completed in the summer of 2024.

Tannico has what must be the world’s largest collection of fine Italian wines. The international e-tailer holds licences for 15,000 wine labels from 2,500 wineries. The logistics was outsourced to FIEGE in 2016. Only five years later, FIEGE opened a fully automated warehouse for Tannico in Castel San Giovanni near Milan.

Just in time for the start of a new school season, roughly nine million schoolbooks are delivered every year in Austria. FIEGE will be handling this in the future for Österreichische Bundesverlag (öbv), a publishing house that specialises in educational textbooks.

The FIEGE Group has received the Logivisor Award. The Carrier Claims Management of the Greven-based contract logistics expert won in the Retail category.

The online platform Palettenheld.com traces the journey of unit load devices in real time. FIEGE thus creates a more efficient pallet management with short routes that saves time, money, and effort.

»für nierenkranke Kinder« e.V. is a Münster-based charity supporting children with kidney disease. The organisation was thrilled to receive a donation from the family business, FIEGE. The funds were donated by employees of the Greven-based logistics company as well as the company’s own foundation, the Josef Fiege Stiftung.

The logistics company FIEGE and its long-time client, ESPRIT held their annual sale of samples for staff members. Proceeds reached a record 55,000 euros and will be donated to charity.

The joint airlift by SunExpress, Lufthansa Cargo, DPD, FIEGE, time:matters and Customs Broker has transported more than 3,000 parcels on eight cargo flights to Turkey since its launch. The initiative will be maintained in the coming days.
